2007, 2008.
By the way, I know that we’re missing a number of new episode stills in the gallery. Until we sort that out (which should be very soon). Head over to You Know You Love Me for all the latest Gossip Girl episode stills.
According to Fashion Week Daily’s interview with Tory Burch. Tory will be bringing Blake as one of her dates to the CFDA awards. The event is set to take place June 2 at the New York Public Library.
There’s also a new video up at People.com giving high praise to Blake for the outfit she wore to the Institute Costume Gala. You can watch it here.
So…yay! Inside sources confirm to me that Gossip Girl will indeed be having an extralong season next year (to make up for the episodes we missed this year due to the strike).
Though nothing will be made official until next week when the CW announces its schedule in New York City, I’m told the show has been confirmed for a 24-episode season two.
And even better? Everyone we know and love will be back, with the expected full-time addition of Michelle Trachtenberg, for those double-dozen eps. (According to Leighton Meester, the cast calls her character “Geor-gina” in the way that rhymes with a female body part, since she’s such a See You Next Tuesday. Hee!)
I just hung out with Leighton on the set of Entourage (she’s there shooting a guest stint for the HBO comedy’s upcoming season), and she told me they’re planning to shoot Gossip Girl in the Hamptons at the beginning of season two. “‘Cause you gotta go to the Hamptons, right?” she said with a giggle. “And, by the way, we aren’t shooting in Staten Island like they did on Sex and the City. We’re shooting in the real Hamptons.” Touché, Carrie & Co.!
Thanks to Laura. I’ve just been informed that there’s a spread in the latest issue (May 2008) of Harper’s Bazaar Singapore featuring Blake. The feature’s extract reads:
The Gossip Girl actress may not have a long list of box office hits behind her yet, but this beautiful blonde and all legs ingenue is the perfect mannequin for designer fashion. Present at all the right parties, seen with the right people and clad in the right outfits, Lively is poised to become a future fashion icon.
If anyone could send us scans at all, feel free to email me. We’d be super grateful!
Also, on a different note, there’s a new candid video up at x17. You can see Blake and some other actresses posing for a photoshoot in Malibu.
Blake Lively and Penn Badgley (both in Ralph Lauren) stick together on-camera and off, attending the Nina Ricci afterparty following the Met’s Costume Institute Gala Monday in New York. And while the Gossip Girl stars don’t admit they’re dating, Badgley told PEOPLE, “I think she’s incredible. She’s an amazing person and she’s beautiful – so there’s not a lot to dislike.”
“I’ve always seen pictures and thought, ‘I would love to go to that!’” said Blake Lively (in Ralph Lauren), who used a few quick change tricks to get ready in the car on the way to the event. “I came directly from a photo shoot and they did my hair in the car. I don’t even know what I look like!” Lively was squired by Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley, who took considerably less effort to get ready. “I got in the shower, did my hair and put my suit on,” the low-maintenance Badgley (also in Ralph Lauren) said.
